What ISNetworld® costs a contractor (and what management costs on top)

ISN® charges contractors two fees: a one-time account setup fee and an annual subscription fee [1]. Both are based on the number of employees, using a three-year average, and on the countries where you operate [1][2]. ISN does not publish dollar amounts on its public site. Its "Pricing Details" terms describe how the fee is set, not what it is [2]. Paying someone to manage the account is a separate cost. Our flat rates start at $900 to set up one platform and $250 a month to maintain it.

How much does ISN® charge a contractor?

ISN's FAQ says contractors "pay an annual subscription fee and a one-time account setup fee per country based on the number of employees in the company" [1]. ISN does not publish the amounts. Request a quote from ISN for your workforce size.

Three pricing terms that catch contractors off guard, from ISN's Pricing Details, as of 2026-10-07 [2]:

    • Office staff count. The fee is based on a three-year average of total workforce, field and office. ISN may require documentation.
    • More than one country can mean more than one subscription. Additional subscriptions may be needed to work in more than one country.
    • Paying late costs extra. Expired accounts are charged a reinstatement fee if payment is not received by the renewal date.

How the billing works, per ISN's contractor user agreement [3]:

    • Each subscription term is one year. It starts the day ISN receives payment.
    • You renew by paying the then-current annual fee on or before the anniversary of that start date.
    • A contractor whose subscription lapses "may be subject to a reinstatement fee" [3]. ISN's pricing terms say expired accounts incur one if payment is late [2].
    • You can cancel in writing at any time. Setup and annual fees already paid are not refunded.

What does the ISNetworld® subscription include?

ISN® describes contractor pricing as all-inclusive, "regardless of the number of tools your company uses or the number of Hiring Clients" you are connected to [1]. ISN lists these services [1]:

    • Collection and review of written programs, incident and injury forms, insurance certificates and workers' compensation documents.
    • Tracking of employee-level training, competencies and qualifications.
    • Tracking of audits and evaluation reports based on Hiring Client requirements.
    • Reporting tools to benchmark your performance against peers.
    • Free ISN events.

ISN also lists more than 700 complimentary computer-based training courses and new Hiring Client connections for no additional fee [2]. Your insurance agent or broker can submit and monitor insurance documents for you at no additional fee [4].

What the subscription does not do is your company's share of the work. ISN's user agreement says your company "alone has the ultimate responsibility" for providing the information Hiring Clients require [3].

What drives the total cost of an ISNetworld® account?

    • Workforce size and countries. These set the ISN® fee [1][2]. Office staff count, not just field crews [2].
    • Number of Hiring Clients. This does not change the ISN fee [1]. But Hiring Client requirements can be configured "by location, level of risk, or specific designations" [5]. More clients can mean more items to keep current.
    • Written programs. ISN's Review and Verification Services (RAVS) team reviews written programs, insurance certificates and training documentation against regulatory and Hiring Client requirements [2]. A program that does not pass review needs rework.
    • Insurance. ISN's insurance review can check policy limits, insured parties, deductibles, carrier ratings, effective and expiration dates and, on Hiring Client request, certain endorsements [6]. If your certificate does not match, the fix runs through your agent.
    • Training. The ISN courses are complimentary [2]. Your crew's time to complete them is not.

What does it cost to manage ISNetworld® yourself?

Doing it in-house costs staff time, not a fee. ISN® says that once Hiring Client requirements are met, many accounts "only need periodic updates to maintain compliance" [2]. Recurring items include:

    • Injury logs. ISN's 2022, 2023 and 2024 recordkeeping posts each said Hiring Clients require contractors to submit "their 300A Summary and 300 Log into ISNetworld by March 1" of that year [7].
    • Insurance certificates, which are reviewed against effective and expiration dates [6].
    • New or changing Hiring Client requirements. ISN sends these as updates, along with email reminders [2].

To price it, multiply the hours your staff spend in the account each month by what an hour of their time costs you. ISN also provides one-on-one customer service, a help menu and recorded trainings [2]. You do not need a consultant to run an ISNetworld® account.
